World’s largest Buddhist flag

The world’s largest Buddhist flag is to be placed for public view and veneration from May 2 at Kandy Pokkawana Issipattana Vihara.

The flag is 200 ft long and 100 ft high. Facilities will be provided for thousands of people visiting from all parts of the country to view it. This was revealed by Kandy Parliamentarian Eric Weerawansa at a press briefing held in Kandy on Monday.
