President Rajapakse in Pakistan

President Mahinda Rajapakse was accorded a warm welcome at the Waklala Airport when he arrived on an official visit. He is here on an invitation by Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari.

He was received by the Chairman of the Pakistan Senate Farook Hamid Naik. He was given a 21 gun salute by the Pakistan Army.

President Rajapakse is accompanied by External Affairs Minister Peiris, Deputy Minister Faizer Mustafa, Parliamentarian Sajin Vass Gunawardene, Presidential Secretary Lalith Weeratunge and Foreign Secretary Karunatileke Amunugama.
