Seek steps to stop parting of children:President to AG

President Mahinda Rajapakse has issued a directive to the Attorney General to take steps to seek Court order to ensure that two children are not kept in custody in two different locations following a Court order.

Earlier Court had ordered that two orphaned children- nine year old Lakshan and his two year old sister Chalanika Kavisha be sent to two orphanages until they are sent to the SOS village in Monaragala within a fortnight since there was no one to look after them following the death of their mother and their father being sent to prison.
