Poongavana Festival
The poogavaan festival of the Trincomalee Pathirakali Amman temple took place on Friday April 6 evening with the participation of devotees in thousands. There were cultural events in the outer veethy of the temple.
Bak Full Moon Poya Day
Buddhists all over the island observed the Bak Full Moon Poya Day on April 6. Devotees participated in religious observances in Buddhist temples. Special religious observances were held at Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara.
