Duke of Edinburgh ill in hospital

Duke of Edinburgh was taken ill and hospitalized yesterday. He turned 92 on Sunday. He was hale and hearty when he joined the Queen as she boarded the Royal Pageant Barge in River Thames at the commencement of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations this week. Read more

Open University Convocation in Batticaloa

 

The convocation of the Eastern region of the Open University was held at Batticaloa June 5. Head of the institution Dr. W.A.Wimalweera was the Chief Guest, while Vice Chancellor of the Eastern University was Guest of Honour. Around 350 students received certificates at the ceremony.
