The United National Party and the JVP have sought the summoning of Parliament to discuss the crisis that has arisen consequent to fuel price hike.

 

UNP has submitted a letter bearing the signature of the Opposition Leader Ranil Wickremasinghe urging him to summon Parliament to urgently discuss the crisis. Similarly, the JVP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake has written to the Speaker Chamal Rajapakse to summon Parliament.
