A delegation of British Parliamentarians met Tamil National Alliance Leader R.Sampanthan at Jungle Beach Hotel in Kuchchaveli, Trincomalee and held a one hour discussion on current situation in the island.
TNA Leader Sampanthan was accompanied by TNA lead candidate for EPC polls S.Thandauthapany. Parliamentarain James Whatton led the UK Parliamentary delegation. Sampanthan detailed to them the problems of the Tamils and reiterated the need for a credible and acceptable political solution for self rule in the merged North East within a united and undivided Sri Lanka.
