India launches Agni V; hailed as giant leap

India has announced the successful launching of Agni V with a range of 5,000 kilo meters, at 8.04 am off Odisha coast on Thursday, April 19. It has made a giant leap and joined the nations that are capable of Inter- Continental Ballistic Missiles such as US, Russia, France and China, observers say. Read more

Sushma calls on MR

 

Visiting Indian Parliamentary delegation leader Sushma Swaraj called on President Mahinda Rajapakse at a breakfast meeting on Friday morning.

 

Sri Lanka ‘s external Affairs Minister G.L.Peries, Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Ashok Kantha, Presidents Secretary Lalith Weeratunga were present at the meeting with several others.
