Lanka- Singapore ink MoU   

Sri Lanka and Singapore signed an MoU to build up business and investment cooperation during the side line of the two day State visit of President Mahinda Rajapakse and the First Lady Shiranthy Rajapakse. Earlier, Rajapakse met Singapore President Tony Tan. He also met Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

During their visit, an orchid variety developed using the hybrid technology was named Dendobrium-Mahinda, Shranthy. The event took place at the Singapore National Botanical Gardens located in 105 acres.
