Fisheries Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne stated that the UPFA will triumph in all three PC polls and that SLMC contesting as a distinct unit is no issue.
Minsiter Seniviratne was chairing a Press briefing of the UPFA held at Mahaweli Centre. He stated that UPFA will get landslide victory over its massive development programmes that benefit all communities. Look at the highways, ports, international ports and so on. Winning elections on war factor is over. It is true people are grateful to the President and the ruling party for winning the war.
Minister Dr.Rajitha Senaratne has stated that the SLMC contesting the Eastern Provincial poll as a separate entity is not an issue. They could express togetherness with the government on vital issues. After the polls they could join the government to run the Council. The JVP and UNP are obstacles for development. They are nervous to face polls.
