Gilani pleads not guilty to Contempt charge

Pakistan Prime Minister 59 year old Seyed Yousef Rasa Gilani appeared before the seven judge Bench of the Supreme Court and pleaded not guilty to the indictment of contempt of Court for not complying with the Court order to reopen the case of corruption against President Asif Ali Azari.

Court exempted Prime Minister Gilani from personal appearances. It appointed Attorney General Anwer ul Haq to be the prosecutor. A two page indictment charged that the Prime Minister Gilani had violated Article 2004 of the Constitution.
