Gotabhaya at orientation for diplomats

 

Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse stated that all road blocks and check points in the country have been removed. People are free to move to any part of the country freely. 53000 members of the Tamil diaspora, NGO and foreign nationals who have visited the country have gone to the North and East and seen the situation personally.


He was addressing the orientation event held for Sri Lankan ambassadors, high commissioners and consular officials serving abroad at Diyatalawa. The inaugural address was made by President Rajapakse.


Gotabhaya Rajapakse continued that as a part of national security only a part of the Palaly Army Camp has now been held. Measures are taken to release 17 Gramasevaka areas surrounding the camp. Youth from the North and East willmbe given an opportunity during enlisting to man the new police stations that are to be established.
