Panadura High Court Judge Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena has called for medical reports of 20 passengers killed and 40 passengers injured in an explosion on a bus plying along Moratuwa –Kattubedda Road on June1, 2008. Directors of Colombo National Hospital and the Colombo SouthTeaching Hospital have been directed to submit the reports.
High Court made the order following submissions by State Counsel Dishna Warnakulasuriya that the said medical reports have not been forwarded. LTTE members Thangavelu Nimalan alias Selvan and Nadesan Kuganathan alias Nenril are the accused. The accused face 103 charges under the Prevention of Terrorism Act and Criminal Procedure Code.
